Euro Spikes to $1.25; Rumors of Rescue Again

Oh, here we go again: The Euro, trading at $1.2317 in late morning trading, just spiked over $1.25 at 1:30 pm, Eastern. It’s now cooled to $1.2483, still way above the lows for the day.

Briefing.com notes a CNBC report saying there’s a European Central Bank conference call being thrown together to handle the Euro’s plight, while the same rumor of intervention is being brought up that was torn apart earlier this morning.

Oh, and apparently, there’s a short-squeeze on the Euro, per CNBC. More on this as it develops.
