Apple: Mac Event October 20; To Show Off Next OS X Version

Look closely, and you will note the reflection of a lion on the left side of the Apple logo.

Apple (AAPL) sent invitations to the media this morning to an October 20 event focused on new Mac products.

The illustration included in the invitation, posted to the left, includes a stylized Apple logo with a reflection of what would appear to be a lion.

“Come see what’s new for the Mac..including a sneak peek of the next major version of Mac OS X,” the company said in the invitation to the event, which will be held at the company’s HQ in Cupertino.

AAPL this morning is up $2.69, or 0.9%, to $301.23.
